Role Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced
Tandoor & Bakery Chef
specializing in authentic Indian breads, tandoor preparations, and breakfast bakery concepts.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in preparing fresh naan, roti, paratha, tandoori breads, and bakery items while maintaining excellent quality and consistency.
The Assistant Chef will also collaborate with team members to create innovative menus, manage supplies, and ensure efficient kitchen operations.

- Prepare authentic:
- Naan
- Roti
- Paratha
- Kulcha
- Tandoori breads
- Stuffed breads
- Operate and manage tandoor oven professionally
- Prepare doughs, fillings, and bakery items from scratch
- Create breakfast bakery concepts and fresh baked products
- Maintain consistency in texture, taste, and presentation
- Ensure food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Monitor stock, ingredients, and daily production requirements
- Coordinate with kitchen team for smooth operations
Expertise Required
- Strong expertise in:
- Tandoor cooking
- Dough preparation and fermentation
- Naan stretching and baking
- Roti and paratha making
- Indian bread production
- Bakery and breakfast items
- Knowledge of traditional and modern Indian bakery concepts
- Ability to work in high-volume kitchen operations
- Creativity in breakfast menu development
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–5 years experience as Tandoor Chef / Baker Chef / Naan Maker
- Experience in an Indian restaurant or high-volume kitchen preferred
- A culinary or Baking certification is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, discipline, and teamwork skills
- Time management, organisational, and multitasking skills
- Teamwork and communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic kitchen environment
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Previous experience as an assistant chef or in a similar role in a commercial kitchen
