About This Role
Assistant/Associate Professor
The College of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Dubai is seeking a highly motivated Assistant/Associate Professor in Cyber Security field to contribute to teaching, research, and program development within the Master of Science in Cyber Security program, starting Fall 2025.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, conducting impactful research, and engaging in service activities that support the university’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach graduate courses in Secure Software Engineering, IoT & Blockchain Security, Cryptography, and related cybersecurity topics.
- Supervise and mentor graduate students in their research, theses, and academic development.
- Conduct original research in cybersecurity, AI security, software security, cryptography, and blockchain, and publish in reputable journals and conferences.
- Develop and enhance course materials, laboratory experiments, and program curriculum related to cybersecurity.
- Secure external research funding through grants and industry collaborations.
- Engage with industry partners and academic institutions to foster research and student learning opportunities.
- Participate in departmental service, accreditation activities, and program development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and Computer Science, or a related field from an internationally recognized institution.
- Strong research record with publications in top-tier cybersecurity journals and conferences.
- Expertise in AI security, cryptography, blockchain security, secure software engineering, and network security.
- Proficiency in secure coding practices, cybersecurity frameworks, ethical hacking tools, and security analysis methods.
- Experience in university-level teaching and curriculum development is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment.
