Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Accountant located in Doha, Qatar.
The Assistant Accountant will handle daily financial transactions, assist with tax filing and preparation, contribute to auditing processes, and support bookkeeping and financial reporting activities.
Team collaboration, attention to detail, and ensuring compliance with local accounting and tax regulations are vital aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in financial accounting, bookkeeping, and the preparation of financial reports
- Understanding of GST, income tax regulations, and general auditing practices
- Skills in record-keeping, data reconciliation, and data entry
- Familiarity with accounting software and tools, including Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Prior experience in accounting or tax preparation roles is preferred but not mandatory
