Assistant Accountant

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting entries and maintain financial records.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations and maintain petty cash records.
• Assist with monthly payroll and related accounting entries.
• Support VAT documentation and filing.
• Maintain supplier and customer account records.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments on invoices, payments, and supporting documents.
• Maintain organized accounting and financial document files.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; UAE experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting procedures.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.

Compensation

• Salary is AED 3,500–4,500 per month, depending on experience and skills.

Workplace

• Work location is in person.
