FlapKap is establishing a private direct financing fund in Saudi Arabia, subject to Capital Market Authority approval.
The fund aims to provide Saudi SMEs with flexible, growth-focused financing in support of Vision 2030.
Role overview
The Asset Management Associate will join the founding team and work closely with the Head of Asset Management.
The role provides exposure to the full investment cycle as the fund is established and grows.
Responsibilities
- Support SME deal origination, credit analysis, due diligence, and underwriting.
- Build financial models and prepare investment committee papers.
- Monitor portfolio performance, covenants, and risk indicators.
- Help establish the fund’s policies, procedures, and operating processes.
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, the fund administrator, the custodian, and auditors.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in asset management, private credit, SME or corporate banking, credit analysis, or investment banking.
- Strong financial modeling, credit analysis, and reporting skills.
- Good understanding of CMA regulations and the Saudi financial services market.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- CMA qualification certificates such as CME-1 are a plus; CFA or progress toward it is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach suited to building a fund from the ground up.
