Role Description
The Asset Integrity Manager is a part-time role based in Abu Dhabi with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility.
The role is responsible for overseeing the integrity, reliability, and lifecycle performance of utility assets across GSU’s portfolio, with a focus on energy and water infrastructure.
Day-to-day activities include developing and implementing asset integrity plans, coordinating inspections and condition assessments, and reviewing technical reports to identify risks and corrective actions.
The Asset Integrity Manager will monitor asset performance, recommend maintenance strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
The role also involves collaborating with engineering, operations, HSE, and project teams, as well as external contractors and partners, to prioritize investments, support asset upgrades, and contribute to continuous improvement in asset management practices.
Qualifications
- Strong background in asset integrity, reliability, or asset management for utilities or heavy infrastructure (e.g., power generation, transmission, water systems).
- Experience with inspection, monitoring, and maintenance planning, including condition assessments and risk-based approaches.
- Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, safety and environmental regulations, and industry best practices for energy and water assets.
- Proficiency in using asset management or maintenance management systems and interpreting technical data and performance metrics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assets and projects.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, or related field) or equivalent practical experience; advanced certifications in asset management (e.g., IAM, ISO 55000) are an advantage.
- Experience working in emerging markets or the Global South, and familiarity with sustainability and climate-resilient infrastructure, is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting based in Abu Dhabi, with occasional travel to project sites as needed.
