Job purpose

Oversee control, tracking, utilization, maintenance coordination, and lifecycle management of company construction equipment, vehicles, tools, and other physical assets.

Ensure assets are registered, assigned, monitored, maintained, transferred, and disposed of according to company policies, project needs, and applicable KSA regulations.

Provide accurate asset data and reports to support operational and management decisions.

Asset control and fleet coordination

  • Maintain the asset register and monitor asset location, status, ownership, assignment, and utilization.
  • Tag, code, and record assets in the ERP or asset management system; control movements and maintain transfer, handover, receipt, and return records.
  • Monitor equipment and fleet deployment, availability, downtime, idle assets, and utilization; coordinate availability with project teams.
  • Work with maintenance and workshop teams, and identify underutilized, excess, obsolete, or surplus assets.

Documentation, verification, and transfers

  • Maintain asset ownership, registration, insurance, inspection, warranty, maintenance, and permit documentation; monitor expiry dates and support internal and external audits.
  • Plan physical counts, investigate differences between physical assets and system records, prepare reconciliations, and ensure corrective actions.
  • Control asset mobilization and demobilization, verify assets at dispatch and receipt, and coordinate with logistics, transportation, project, procurement, and equipment teams.

Reporting, leadership, and improvement

  • Prepare asset control and utilization reports and develop KPIs for utilization, availability, downtime, losses, transfers, documentation, renewals, verification, and disposal.
  • Analyze asset data and recommend utilization improvements, cost reductions, replacement, disposal, rental, purchase, or redeployment.
  • Lead and supervise asset control personnel, allocate work, monitor performance, train employees, and promote accountability.
  • Develop procedures and workflows, improve tracking using ERP systems, barcode/RFID technology, GPS, or other digital solutions, and address process gaps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Asset Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Equipment Management, or a related listed discipline.

Key performance indicators

Asset register accuracy, utilization, availability, reconciliation accuracy, missing asset value, transfer processing time, and equipment idle time.

Documentation compliance, registration and certification renewal compliance, physical verification completion, asset-related audit findings, and asset recovery and disposal efficiency.
