Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and commercially minded **Art Consultant** to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients on art acquisitions, building strong relationships, and driving sales while ensuring an exceptional client experience.
This role requires a passion for art, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to understand client preferences and investment goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Provide expert guidance on art selection based on client taste, space, and budget
- Promote and sell artwork in line with gallery/business targets
- Proactively source new sales opportunities and generate leads
- Stay up to date with current art trends, artists, and market developments
- Assist clients with bespoke commissions and curated collections
- Manage the full sales process from initial consultation to final delivery
- Coordinate exhibitions, private viewings, and events to engage clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in art sales, galleries, luxury retail, or a client-facing sales role
- Strong interest and knowledge of contemporary and/or fine art
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercially driven with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Confident presenting and advising high-value clients
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Desirable
- Degree in Art, Art History, or a related field
