Role Description
BYAA Studio is seeking a Junior Architectural Interior Design Draftsman to join the team in Dubai.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and ambitious designer to work closely alongside the Owner & Creative Director across a range of high-end residential and boutique commercial projects.
The role offers valuable hands-on experience across all stages of the design process — from concept development and space planning through to technical drawings, material selections, visual presentations, client interaction, and on-site coordination.
The successful candidate will gain first-hand exposure to live projects, suppliers, contractors, and client meetings, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a boutique design studio environment.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities
- Assist with concept design, space planning, and design development
- Produce detailed construction and technical drawing packages
- Drafting
- Prepare millwork and joinery drawings
- Create 3D models and high-quality visualisations/renderings
- Prepare client presentations and presentation layouts
- Support FF&E selection, specifications, and material sourcing
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and consultants
- Project managing
- Attend regular site visits and assist with project coordination
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Director across multiple projects
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in Dubai on residential villa projects
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign for presentation preparation
- Experience creating 3D models and renderings
- Experience with local approval drawing sets
- Revit knowledge is desirable
- Strong understanding of technical detailing and construction drawings
- Experience producing millwork/joinery drawings
- Knowledge of FF&E selection and specifications
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Passion for refined, thoughtful, and contemporary design
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small studio environment
- UAE driving licence and own car are non-negotiable requirements due to regular site visits across Dubai
