Role overview

Responsibilities

• Inspect architectural site activities against contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and good construction practices.
• Verify approved materials and systems, including delivered materials against approved samples and specifications.
• Monitor finishes, workmanship, and installation methods during construction.
• Report and follow up on non-compliances, advising the resident engineer or deputy project manager.
• Coordinate work interfaces and sequencing with contractors and other discipline inspectors.
• Review contractor method statements for contract compliance.
• Keep daily inspection records, reports, and photographic documentation.
• Assist with client and authority inspections, snagging, de-snagging, and final inspections before handover.
• Assist in reviewing architectural as-built drawings and close-out documentation.

Candidate specifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in architectural site supervision or inspection of building projects, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
• Prior UAE experience is mandatory, with knowledge of local authority requirements and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required; basic knowledge of BIM tools such as Revit is preferred.

Work arrangement

• The duties include site architectural inspections. Flexible working arrangements may be discussed at interview.
