Overview
A consulting engineering company in Jeddah is seeking an Architectural Engineer to work full time.
The candidate should have strong experience in engineering consulting office operations, architectural design, permits and licenses, supervision, coordination with government authorities, client handling, and supporting qualification, classification, and office operations.
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
Preparing and reviewing architectural designs, drawings, and detailed execution drawings; following up on building permits, renovation permits, demolition permits, fencing permits, additions, modifications, and occupancy certificates; submitting and following up on applications through Balady platform and other government platforms; handling comments from the municipality and related authorities; coordinating with other engineering disciplines; following up on site supervision and site works; reviewing surveying and existing architectural drawings; preparing existing condition drawings and As-Built drawings; meeting clients; preparing technical proposals and scopes of work; supporting the qualification and classification of the engineering office/company; coordinating with government authorities; and contributing to organizing the internal workflow of the consulting office.
Experience
in government projects is preferred, including requirements, approvals, official correspondence, technical proposals, supervision, reports, technical payment certificates, and coordination with project owners and consulting entities.

- Experience of not less than 5 years in the architectural field, preferably within Jeddah.
- Previous experience in engineering consulting offices.
- Good knowledge of Jeddah Municipality, sub-municipalities, Balady platform, Saudi Building Code, and Civil Defense requirements.
- Familiarity with permits, planning regulations, setbacks, building ratios, heights, parking, land use, subdivision, merging, and change of use procedures.
- Experience in residential, commercial, administrative, and government projects.
- Ability to deal with clients and represent the office before official entities professionally.
- Ability to guide draftsmen and designers and review the quality of technical outputs.
- Strong skills in organization, follow-up, communication, reporting, and problem-solving.
- Commitment to confidentiality and quality of service.
Required Software
Proficiency in engineering and architectural software, including but not limited to:
AutoCAD, Revit Architecture / BIM, SketchUp, Lumion / Enscape / Twinmotion, 3ds Max if available, Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign if available, Microsoft Office , in addition to relevant government and engineering platforms.
