Design review and coordination
- Review architectural drawings, reports, specifications, and deliverables for completeness, technical accuracy, and compliance with the brief, scope, contract, and standards.
- Assess submissions at concept, schematic, detailed design, and tender stages for residential, retail, commercial, community, and public-realm components.
- Conduct constructability reviews and recommend practical solutions; provide timely consolidated technical comments and verify earlier comments are addressed.
- Assess functionality, design quality, accessibility, sustainability, safety, and compliance with approved project requirements.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, infrastructure, landscape, and specialist disciplines to support design integration and minimise interface issues.
- Review master plans, layouts, elevations, sections, space planning, details, circulation, accessibility, and connectivity across the development.
- Attend technical meetings with design consultants, sub-consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
- Assess design alternatives and materials, finishes, and specifications; review changes and variations for technical implications and compliance.
- Review local authority regulations, building codes, accessibility requirements, and international standards.
- Review tender drawings, specifications, and schedules; support contractor evaluations, bidder clarifications, tender bulletins, and technical meetings.
- Monitor design progress against the programme, identify risks and delays, and coordinate technical issue resolution.
- Coordinate document control and QA/QC records, monitor BIM processes where applicable, maintain stakeholder relationships, and comply with company policies.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design, design review, or design management.
- Experience reviewing and coordinating submissions across concept, schematic, detailed design, and tender stages.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination and interfaces among architectural, structural, MEP, infrastructure, and landscape disciplines.
- Knowledge of building regulations, authority requirements, accessibility standards, and relevant international codes.
- Working knowledge of BIM processes and digital design coordination tools.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Large-scale mixed-use, master-planned community, residential, or major commercial project experience is highly preferred.
- PMC, client-side consultancy, or engineering consultancy experience is highly preferred.
- Professional registration or membership with a recognised architectural body, such as RIBA, is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple reviews, deadlines, and competing priorities; strong technical review, analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English, strong interpersonal, coordination, and organisational skills, and ability to work effectively with project stakeholders.
