Aquatics Coordinator

As an Aquatics Coordinator , you’ll play a key leadership role in shaping a dynamic pool environment where participants of all ages can grow, learn, and thrive. Help children and families reach their full potential through aquatics programs

Build a culture of safety, confidence, and teamwork

Lead and inspire a team of lifeguards and swim staff who embody our core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility

Ensure all aquatic activities are safe, engaging, and aligned with YMCA standards

Champion water safety through swim testing, education, and community outreach

Help create a fun, welcoming environment that keeps members coming back

Recruit, train, and mentor a team of lifeguards and aquatics staff

Build confidence through ongoing in-services and hands-on coaching

Lead by example—demonstrating professionalism, vigilance, and teamwork

Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped aquatic facility

Oversee scheduling, certifications, and essential documentation

Support emergency preparedness and ensure staff are always rescue-ready

Promote aquatics programs and water safety initiatives

Collaborate with branch leadership and community partners

Represent the YMCA mission through every interaction
