Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst - Vice President

Role overview

Application development and leadership

• Lead design, development, implementation, and support of strategic CitiFTP applications and data solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and technology teams to deliver capabilities and platform enhancements.
• Lead work across the software development lifecycle and align designs with enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps.
• Drive modernization and scalability; establish development, coding, testing, and solution design standards.
• Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture assessments.

Data, stakeholders, and operations

• Build scalable data processing and analytics solutions using big data and cloud ecosystem technologies, including Hadoop, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Analyze data and troubleshoot application and data platforms; tune performance and investigate root causes.
• Improve data quality, integrity, and operational efficiency.
• Translate business requirements into sustainable technology solutions and communicate technical risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Resolve major production issues, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and meet risk, control, security, and governance standards.

Team leadership

• Mentor developers and analysts across regions; guide solution design, troubleshooting, and implementation.
• Allocate work, review deliverables, support professional development, and promote engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in application development, software engineering, systems analysis, or related technology roles.
• Hands-on Java, Python, and PySpark development; advanced SQL and experience with large-scale data processing.
• Hadoop ecosystem experience, including Hive, Spark, Impala, HDFS, and enterprise data platforms.
• Strong Unix/Linux administration, shell scripting, automation, and system troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with scalable application architectures, APIs, distributed systems, and enterprise software engineering practices.
• Understanding of incident, problem, change, release, and operational risk management; experience leading cross-functional incident and implementation work.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; master's degree preferred.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in Treasury, Finance, Funds Transfer Pricing, Liquidity Management, Capital Management, or banking applications.
• Autosys or equivalent scheduling and workload automation experience; familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar tools.
• Experience with batch and real-time data integration, financial-services regulatory or audit initiatives, and enterprise data governance and quality.
• Subject matter expertise in application development, data engineering, Treasury technology, enterprise architecture, or large-scale data platforms.

Compensation and benefits

• Full-time salary range is $125,760 to $188,640 per year.
