Application Support Analyst - IT

Role overview

Application and service support

• Provide on-call support for business process owners and assigned systems.
• Oversee problem management, communicate service issues, resolve incidents and outages, and perform level 3 troubleshooting.
• Oversee assigned services from access systems through back-end servers and coordinate with IT teams to maintain uptime.
• Monitor maintenance activities and maintain system quality and integrity.

Projects, testing, and documentation

• Collaborate with development, support, and engineering teams to refine processes and service delivery.
• Coordinate minor technology projects and project deliverables; assist with task tracking, timelines, and status reporting.
• Test basic functionality before business testing and participate in lab simulations for fixes, patches, and upgrades.
• Gather and document user requirements; maintain accurate support and issue documentation.

Experience and skills

• Hands-on experience supporting Windows-based enterprise application environments; knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server.
• Able to manage priorities, troubleshoot thoroughly, gather requirements, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and technical skills; knowledge of application development and support methodologies.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with an IT focus is preferred; relevant technology certifications are advantageous.
• Two to four years of progressively responsible information systems and business experience is preferred. Software support, troubleshooting/testing, and customer service experience are desirable.
• At least one year of business-unit experience and commitment to solving business problems.
