Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications and database structures.
- Write, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL queries and support database administration.
- Translate business concepts, rules, and metrics into data requirements and system logic.
- Validate requirements and calculation logic, identify gaps, and clarify assumptions with business users.
- Analyze applications, code, and database structures to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
- Develop and support integrations and data interfaces between enterprise applications.
- Investigate production issues, implement changes, and support end users.
- Troubleshoot application, database, integration, and data-related issues.
- Work independently while collaborating with business and technical teams.
Requirements
- Minimum seven years of enterprise application development and support experience with substantial hands-on database development.
- Strong Oracle development tools, SQL, PL/SQL, database administration, and complex query optimization experience.
- Grounding in relational databases, data structures, and data modelling.
- Understanding of capital markets and trading concepts and the ability to translate business rules into system logic.
- Experience building and supporting integrations and data interfaces.
- Ability to analyze existing applications and code with limited guidance, investigate production issues, and support end users.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with business and technical teams.
- Stock exchange, brokerage, trading platform, or market-data provider experience is advantageous.
- Exposure to FIX messaging, high-volume market-data environments, or Oracle APEX is advantageous.
