API Software Engineer

Role overview

What you will do

• Build software, scripts, and tools and deliver complex, critical software rapidly and at high quality.
• Design, produce, test, and implement software solutions.
• Work across requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Support the full software lifecycle, including enhancement, maintenance, replacement, and decommissioning.
• Collaborate to improve software engineering capability.

Skills and experience

• Background in software engineering and solution design, with experience delivering scalable, reliable applications across the SDLC.
• Hands-on Java, Spring Boot, Maven, DB2, and GitLab experience.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of microservices, scalability, resiliency, caching, and performance optimization.
• Java performance tuning and troubleshooting experience, including root-cause analysis.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Agile delivery, automation, production support, and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Grafana.
• Collaborative approach and ability to solve complex technical challenges in an Agile environment.
