Job Description
We are looking for a skilled API Developer with 2–3 years of experience in designing, developing, and integrating APIs and backend services.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, and backend development frameworks, along with strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- **Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.**
- **Integrate third-party APIs and external systems.**
- **Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and stakeholders to understand business requirements.**
- **Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.**
- **Troubleshoot and resolve API performance and integration issues.**
- **Ensure security, authentication, and data protection standards are implemented.**
- **Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs and integrations.**
- **Participate in code reviews and contribute to system improvements.**
- **Monitor application performance and optimize APIs for speed and scalability.**
Required Skills & Qualifications
- **2–3 years of experience in API/backend development.**
- **Strong knowledge of REST APIs and web services.**
- **Experience with one or more backend technologies such as:**
- **Node.js**
- **Java/Spring Boot**
- **Python**
- **.NET**
- **Familiarity with JSON, XML, and API testing tools like Postman or Swagger.**
- **Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.**
- **Understanding of authentication methods like OAuth, JWT, and API security best practices.**
- **Knowledge of Git/version control systems.**
- **Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.**
- **Strong communication and teamwork abilities.**
Preferred Qualifications
- **Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.**
- **Exposure to microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker.**
- **Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.**
Education
- **Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.**
- **Nice to Have Experience working on enterprise integrations or mapping/location-based APIs.**
- **Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.**
- Pay: From QAR10,000.00 per month
