AP Accountant

About This Role

PFC Group, a growing construction company in the UAE, is looking for a detail-oriented Junior AP Accountant to join our Finance team.

Candidate Profile:

• Female candidate (Philippines)
• Age: 28 years or below
• 1–3 years of total accounting experience
• Minimum 1 year in Accounts Payable function
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance
• Construction industry exposure is preferred
• UAE experience is an added advantage

Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable Processing

• Verify, code and post supplier invoices accurately
• Ensure proper invoice entry and documentation
• Maintain AP records in ERP system

Invoice Matching & Verification

• Match invoices with LPO (Local Purchase Order) and GRN (Goods Received Note)
• Ensure correctness of quantities, rates and approvals
• Check VAT compliance and invoice accuracy

Vendor Management

• Handle supplier communication professionally
• Respond to payment queries and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and maintain vendor statements and reconciliations

Payments & Controls

• Assist in preparing payment runs
• Ensure proper approvals as per hierarchy
• Prevent duplicate payments and maintain control checks

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain proper filing system (soft & hard copies)
• Support internal and external audit requirements
• Assist in month-end closing activities

Technical Knowledge Required:

• Understanding of full invoice lifecycle (PO → Invoice → GRN → Payment)
• Basic UAE VAT knowledge (invoice requirements & correctness)
• Awareness of duplicate payment risks and missing document handling
• Ability to explain invoice verification steps clearly

Systems & Skills:

• Basic ERP experience (AP module)
• MS Excel (filters, VLOOKUP, basic reconciliation)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Organized and able to manage workload under deadlines

Key Competencies:

• Strong understanding of AP process flow
• Vendor reconciliation skills
• Basic cost allocation awareness (construction projects)
• Ability to follow approval hierarchy and procedures
• High level of integrity and accountability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
