Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Animal Groomer role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Animal Groomer will perform daily grooming services such as bathing, drying, brushing, trimming, nail clipping, and ear cleaning for dogs, cats, and other companion animals, following clinic standards and safety protocols.
The role involves assessing each animal’s coat, skin, and general condition, identifying any issues and communicating them to veterinary staff when needed.
The groomer will handle animals gently and safely, minimize stress, and maintain a clean, hygienic, and well-organized grooming area and equipment.
The position also includes interacting with clients, explaining grooming services and aftercare, and accurately documenting services provided.
Qualifications
- Strong Animal Care and Pet Care skills, including safe handling, restraint, and stress reduction for a variety of companion animals.
- Demonstrated commitment to Animal Welfare, with an understanding of basic health, hygiene, and behavioral needs.
- Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with clients in a clear, courteous, and professional manner.
- Previous experience as an animal groomer, pet stylist, or related role in a clinic, salon, or shelter environment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, stand for extended periods, and safely lift or move animals of various sizes.
- Basic knowledge of grooming tools, coat types, breed-specific grooming styles, and sanitation procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant grooming certification or formal training is an advantage.
- Willingness to follow clinic protocols, work in a team-oriented environment, and adhere to health and safety standards.
