Anesthesia Technician

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and check anesthesia machines, patient monitors, airway devices, and other equipment before procedures.
• Assist anesthesia providers during surgical procedures and anesthesia administration within the scope of practice.
• Ensure anesthesia equipment and medical supplies are available and functioning; perform routine checks, cleaning, disinfection, and basic troubleshooting.
• Prepare supplies and airway and intravenous equipment; support patient preparation and monitoring under provider supervision.
• Maintain supply inventory and report shortages or equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, patient-safety protocols, and clinical procedures.
• Document accurately, maintain patient confidentiality, and collaborate with the surgical and healthcare team.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Anesthesia Technology or a relevant healthcare field.
• Valid SCFHS professional registration and license, as applicable to the position.
• Previous hospital or operating-room experience is preferred.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification if required by the facility.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
