Seeking an experienced, versatile Analytics Engineer to apply analytics expertise to raw data and support data-driven decisions.
The role combines data engineering, analytics, and machine learning.
What You Will Be Doing
- Design and maintain Snowflake data models and dbt pipelines and transformations.
- Use Snowflake Intelligence features, including Cortex Analyst, Cortex Agents, Cortex Search, and AISQL, for conversational queries and AI-driven insights.
- Build advanced SQL queries and analyze large datasets for patterns, trends, and opportunities.
- Develop and optimize Looker dashboards and LookML, including conversational analytics and data agent capabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and identify AI, machine learning, and NLP use cases with product, engineering, and business teams.
- Use Python, shell scripting, and command-line tools for analysis, processing, and automation; test code and integrate it with automated workflows such as Airflow.
- Create visualizations and presentations with actionable recommendations for management and cross-functional teams.
- Follow industry developments and improve analytics tools, practices, and the analytics stack.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 2 years of data analytics or related experience, with significant exposure to AI and machine learning applications in analytics.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience optimizing complex queries on large datasets.
- Hands-on dbt experience for building, testing, and documenting data models.
- Expert knowledge of data modeling and warehouse concepts, including star schema, normalization, and slowly changing dimensions.
- Snowflake experience and familiarity with advanced AI capabilities are highly preferred.
- Strong Looker and LookML skills, including conversational AI and data agent capabilities, or similar BI tools.
- AI agents or generative AI experience for workflow optimization is a plus.
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Spark Streaming.
