About the role

The Inventory Analyst safeguards inventory financial integrity and valuation in a high-volume e-commerce environment.

The role connects finance and operations through system reconciliations, inventory reserve modeling, and analysis of costs and gross margins.

What you will do

  • Reconcile monthly WMS and 3PL data with the SAP general ledger across domestic and international distribution sites.
  • Calculate and maintain IFRS-based reserves for obsolescence, shrinkage, damage, and net realizable value.
  • Maintain freight and customs duty capitalization schedules.
  • Analyze monthly COGS variances, gross margin trends, landed costs, and duty allocation by category.
  • Resolve open goods receipt/invoice receipt items with procurement, operations, and accounts payable.
  • Support cycle counts and annual physical inventories with operations.
  • Validate SAP inventory adjustments and retain audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation or candidate status is strongly preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive inventory, cost, or general accounting experience in high-volume e-commerce, retail, or distribution.
  • Demonstrated experience with inventory reserve models, GR/IR variance resolution, and physical inventory support.
  • Hands-on SAP FI/CO/MM and enterprise WMS integration experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, INDEX/MATCH, nested logical formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Power BI or SQL knowledge is an asset.
  • Structured problem-solving, attention to detail, collaboration, and effective prioritization under tight month-end deadlines.
