MTY Group is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Accounting, Franchising.
The role reports to the Director of Accounting – Franchising and Corporate.
Responsibilities
- Prepare transactional month-end journal entries.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and analysis of transactional balance-sheet sections and ensure accuracy.
- Conduct in-depth P&L analysis for assigned banners.
- Partner with operations and answer questions about financial results, promotional funds, and accounting matters.
- Collaborate with and support other finance teams.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly financial reporting controls.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects as needed.
Candidate profile
- Degree in accounting and CPA designation.
- At least 5 years of accounting or audit experience.
- French-English bilingualism is mandatory.
- Ability to handle large amounts of data and produce detailed reports.
- Strong customer-service orientation, attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Automation skills are an asset; advanced Excel formulas, Power Query, and DAX are specified.
- SQL knowledge and a Microsoft certification are assets.
