Role overview

Logistics operations

• Manage carrier performance and tender loads to contracted and spot-market carriers.
• Enter shipment data into the TMS and maintain alignment between YMS and TMS.
• Audit reports and workbenches to maintain data integrity.
• Coordinate capacity planning with carriers, railheads, and service centers.
• Report carrier KPIs weekly and monthly, maintain carrier reviews, and implement corrective actions.

Process and cross-team support

• Use data and root cause analysis to identify exceptions and waste and develop corrective actions with other teams.
• Develop, document, and roll out logistics processes; establish, communicate, and enforce safety procedures.
• Coordinate new-carrier onboarding with Purchasing and IT, and support freight pay discrepancy resolution.
• Provide backup for outbound logistics roles, including yard and rail operations.
• Represent Rivian in industry groups such as the Automotive Logistics Executive Council.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related experience.
• Hands-on experience with a TMS and/or YMS.
• Methodical, process-oriented approach to problem solving and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, charts, shortcuts, and VLOOKUP.
• Finished-vehicle logistics experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Pay

• Salary range is $63,300–$79,100 for Illinois and Michigan applicants; eligible candidates may also receive a performance bonus and/or equity awards.
