About This Role
Job Purpose:
Review and participate in the development of environment-wide, policies and regulations. Participate in the review of external policies and plans to assess embedding environmental policy and regulatory considerations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development of environment-wide whole-of-government policies and regulations utilizing effective engagement with EAD sectors / divisions and external stakeholders.
- Participate in the review of relevant government policies, strategies, plans, regulations and initiatives in order to embed environmental policy and regulations considerations as needed.
- Prepare for environment policy and regulations development related stakeholder engagement internally and externally to ensure alignment and integration.
- Support the organization of facilitation sessions and meetings with decision-makers and stakeholders in order to respond to interests and concerns, mobilise support, buy in as well as embed generated knowledge the development of environment-wide policies and regulations.
- Develop EAD position papers in order to ensure comprehensive and adequate representation of EAD’s position on environmental issues, and support in recommending.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science/ Political Science or any related specialisation.
- Required Experience: 0 - 2 years.
