Role overview

Infrastructure operations and service delivery

• Support, maintain, deploy, upgrade, migrate, and modernize enterprise hosting, storage, backup, and cloud environments.
• Maintain asset inventories, configuration records, lifecycle processes, technical documentation, operational procedures, and recovery documentation.
• Monitor performance, availability, reliability, and capacity; support service levels and corporate technology standards.
• Improve backup, recovery, and disaster recovery capabilities, including validation and testing.
• Generate operational reports and contribute to service metrics and KPI dashboards.
• Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management using ITIL best practices; act as an escalation point and provide on-call support as required.

Security, risk, and collaboration

• Support security initiatives, vulnerability remediation, patching, and access management controls; follow technology and security policies.
• Manage infrastructure risks involving cyber vulnerabilities, audits, compliance, and data protection; identify risk-reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and service providers, including service reviews and contract administration.
• Participate in project planning, solution validation, operational readiness, and transition-to-support activities.
• Work with End User Services, Network, Telecommunications, Operational Technology, and Cybersecurity teams.

Experience and education

• Minimum five years supporting enterprise IT infrastructure environments.
• Experience managing hosting, storage, backup, and cloud technologies, and supporting mid-sized projects, operational improvements, and service transitions.
• Ability to resolve complex infrastructure incidents; experience with third-party vendors, managed service providers, and cross-functional technology teams.
• College diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.

Skills and platforms

• Strong knowledge of enterprise hosting, virtualization, storage, backup, and cloud environments.
• Virtualization platforms may include VMware and Hyper-V.
• Cloud platforms may include Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and infrastructure compliance requirements.
