Role overview
The DRP Analyst coordinates timely transportation and storage of finished goods across the Marzetti network.
The role partners with Logistics, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, and third-party logistics providers to meet customer service goals and escalate issues.
The position supports service goals and logistics cost reduction through detail-oriented, cross-functional work.
Responsibilities
- Analyze distribution options and identify cost-effective methods to move finished goods from production to customer-facing warehouses.
- Recommend and implement logistics process improvements to reduce shuttle and redeployment costs.
- Create finished-goods stock transport orders in line with planned distribution design.
- Oversee shipment creation and carrier assignment for created orders.
- Manage load exceptions and ensure shipments adhere to scheduled transit.
- Review inventory availability and communicate gaps to appropriate parties.
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to ship high-priority inventory on schedule to the correct location.
- Partner with transportation analysts to drive carrier-performance KPIs.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Two to four years of logistics experience is preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and listening skills are expected.
- Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations is expected.
- Manhattan and SAP experience are preferred.
