Analyst – Cost Management (Contractor)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the cost-management focal point and monitor daily activities and periodic deliverables.
• Prepare the annual cost-management plan, financial models, and supporting analysis; develop procedures and contribute to guidelines and frameworks.
• Build an integrated process for financial planning and annual consolidated Group, parent, and subsidiary cost budgets.
• Analyze historical and forward-looking cost and inventory balances; coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting with accurate, consistent information.
• Align stakeholders on cost objectives, assumptions, targets, and performance expectations; obtain budget inputs across departments.
• Provide cost-planning, budgeting, reporting, and ad hoc analysis to management and stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly cost-versus-budget reports, analyze inventory trends and KPIs, and lead monthly cost and inventory review meetings.
• Challenge variances, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and drive cash-preservation and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Coordinate internal and external benchmarking to identify savings opportunities and performance gaps.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, internal policies, and financial controls.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years in cost management, FP&A, budgeting, management accounting, or financial controlling.
• Experience in cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, management reporting, cost and inventory analysis, variance analysis, and KPI reporting.
• Experience with consolidated budgets across multiple entities or business units.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, coordination, communication, and presentation skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial-modelling proficiency; ability to meet deadlines, manage priorities, and maintain accuracy and compliance.
• ERP or financial reporting systems experience is preferred.
