Role Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented **AML Compliance Officer** to join our Doha team.
This role is critical in ensuring the company adheres to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, identifies financial risks, and maintains strong compliance controls across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess transactions to identify potential AML risks and suspicious activities
- Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) procedures
- Ensure compliance with AML laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Investigate alerts and escalate suspicious cases to relevant authorities when required
- Maintain accurate records of compliance checks, investigations, and reports
- Support internal audits and regulatory inspections
- Assist in developing and updating AML policies and procedures
- Provide training and guidance to staff on AML compliance requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional certification (CAMS or equivalent) is highly preferred
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in AML, compliance, or financial crime prevention
- Strong understanding of AML regulations and compliance frameworks
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and strong ethical judgment
- Strong communication and reporting abilities
