Algorithms Development Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership
• Lead the development of advanced inspection and metrology algorithms for semiconductor wafer and advanced packaging applications.
• Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies in computer vision, image processing, machine learning, deep learning, and high-performance computing.
• Define algorithm architecture, technical strategy, and development roadmaps aligned with product objectives.
• Guide performance optimization for high-throughput production systems, including CPU, GPU, and parallel computing implementations.
• Establish robust methodologies for algorithm quality, benchmarking, validation, characterization, and performance monitoring.
• Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing algorithm engineering team.
• Drive hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and career development while fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
• Product Development
• Collaborate with product management and applications engineering to translate requirements into differentiated product capabilities.
• Drive feature definition, prioritization, and execution plan across multiple product releases.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of critical customer escalations and field issues.
• Partner with software, HPC, and systems engineering teams across India and United States to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions.
• Drive end-to-end ownership of algorithm development, from concept and prototyping through integration, optimization, qualification, and product release.
• Collaborate with global teams to leverage common infrastructure, shared technology platforms, and best practices.
• Minimum Qualifications
• MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience algorithm development on large-scale hardware-centric system.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Experience with algorithm development for large-scale hardware-centric systems.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor inspection, metrology, or related semiconductor equipment industries.
• Hands-on expertise in computer vision, ML/DL algorithms, and imaging systems
• Experience with GPU programming and high-performance computing.
• Strong technical communication skills.
