Aircraft Technician - Base Maintenance (Emiratisation)

Role purpose

Base Maintenance

Key responsibilities

• Service and maintain aircraft, engines, and components, and perform approved structural repairs using manufacturer procedures.
• Follow safety procedures for fluid replenishment, refuelling, and aircraft systems servicing.
• Complete component replacements and other assigned maintenance activities.
• Use and interpret AMM, IPC, CMM, SRM, and other OEM-approved documentation.
• Support licensed engineers and technicians with troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications using job cards.
• Prepare work based on aircraft status, report defects promptly, minimise delays, and provide accurate shift handovers.
• Maintain safety, report deficiencies, reduce risks, and keep work areas clean, organised, and free of FOD.
• Audit and maintain toolboxes, vehicles, and equipment; follow airport safety rules, including driving and manoeuvring-area requirements.
• Contribute to team objectives and continuous improvement through collaboration.
• Support resource allocation and departmental projects when required, using RMS/RTC applications as needed.

Qualifications and experience

• At least five years of experience in engineering.
• Vocational or diploma education (12+2 or equivalent).
• Graduate education (12+2) in engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Aircraft-maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent training with a reputable airline or approved maintenance organisation, or an Engineering Aircraft Maintenance License.
• Aircraft engineering environment experience, including at least two years of on-the-job training with an airline or approved maintenance organisation.
• A valid Airport Driving Permit and compliance with manoeuvring-area requirements are specified for relevant duties.
