Role overview

Lead transformation of protection and control engineering from manual work to AI-assisted, human-verified delivery.

Coordinate an AI-enabled workflow across engineering, drafting, testing, manufacturing, and digital teams.

Work with the development team to deliver scalable, traceable improvements to speed, quality, and repeatability.

Workflow and delivery

  • Plan end-to-end workflows for requirements capture, feasibility, solution design, wiring, FAT/SAT scripts, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate tools that interpret RFQs, specifications, single-line diagrams, and technical data.
  • Drive AI-assisted diagrams, protection schemes, relay recommendations, bills of materials, configurations, and panel layouts.
  • Coordinate automated wiring drawings and AI-generated FAT/SAT procedures.
  • Establish human review checkpoints, approval criteria, reviewer roles, and structured feedback.
  • Track accuracy, verification time, drawing revisions, and test-script quality; improve solutions using project feedback.
  • Manage concurrent scopes, timelines, Agile ceremonies, scheduling, resources, budget, risks, and status reporting.
  • Support training, change management, and adoption of AI tools.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with a strong electrical specialization.
  • At least five years in protection and control engineering, power systems engineering, related electrical engineering, or AI project delivery.
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled tools, engineering automation, or digital workflows in a technical or industrial environment.
  • Strong Jira and Confluence skills for tracking, sprint planning, and documentation.
  • Experience managing multiple scopes, controlling scope creep, and maintaining timelines.
  • Experience across AI project lifecycle: data collection, model development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical audiences.

Desired qualifications

  • Experience in protection and control panel design, manufacturing, FAT/SAT, commissioning, or equivalent environments.
  • Knowledge of IEC 61439, IEC 60255, IEC 62271, IEC 61850, NEMA, CSA, or equivalent standards.
  • Cross-functional technical project management experience with scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder alignment.
  • CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile/Scrum certification is desirable.

Compensation

  • Canadian-based pay range is CAD 110,500–165,800 annually; offer depends on experience, education, and skills.
  • Discretionary annual bonus eligibility.

Workplace

  • The description identifies this as a remote position.
