Role summary

Experienced, hands-on AI Technical Lead designing, developing, and delivering AI solutions for large-scale organisations.

Lead proof-of-concept development and production implementation while providing technical leadership across the delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of secure, scalable, reusable AI solutions.
  • Build and integrate LLM, RAG, and multi-agent solutions; develop AI applications, APIs, and backend services.
  • Lead proofs of concept and pilots, validate feasibility, and support production transition.
  • Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into production-ready AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, data engineers, product owners, and QA teams; mentor teams and conduct code reviews.
  • Assess integration, data readiness, and solution constraints; apply deployment, monitoring, optimisation, security, and lifecycle practices.
  • Ensure compliance with architecture, security, DevSecOps, Responsible AI, and regulatory standards; maintain documentation and share knowledge.

Essential experience

  • At least 8 years in the application development lifecycle and experience leading development teams.
  • Proven enterprise-scale solution design and delivery experience, with strong hands-on AI application and backend development.
  • Experience orchestrating LLMs or multi-agent systems and with an AI platform such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or Vertex AI.
  • Experience in prompt engineering, multiple AI models, proof-of-concept development and production scaling.
  • Proficiency in Python and modern AI development frameworks; experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems through APIs, services, and data platforms; strong stakeholder communication.

Desirable experience

  • Desirable: Semantic Kernel, LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar frameworks; vector databases, RAG, and enterprise search.
  • Desirable: MLOps, CI/CD, DevSecOps, model lifecycle management, data governance, Responsible AI, GDPR, and AI regulatory requirements.
  • Desirable: regulated or complex enterprise environments, Agile, Scrum, and application lifecycle management.
