What you'll do
- Translate customer workflows and business needs into software solutions, requirements, architecture, and acceptance criteria.
- Use AI for engineering research, design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and optimization; validate the work and own the final result.
- Develop full-stack applications with React, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and MongoDB.
- Build and operate cloud applications using AWS and services such as Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, CloudFront, ALB, Route 53, and ACM.
- Manage multi-tenant websites, customer-owned domains, DNS, SSL certificates, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Build business workflows for websites, lead capture, estimates, invoices, receipts, email, analytics, and communications.
- Integrate services including Twilio, WhatsApp Business Platform, Amazon Connect, Google Analytics, and other APIs.
- Diagnose production problems throughout the stack, automate repetitive processes, and improve development and deployment workflows.
- Experiment with emerging AI models, tools, APIs, and architectures.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent demonstrated capability.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js experience.
- Experience with REST APIs, MongoDB or another modern database, Git, and modern development workflows.
- Experience developing and debugging production applications and understanding cloud application architecture.
- Strong problem-solving ability and ability to work across the full technology stack.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI effectively in software development.
Preferred experience
- AWS cloud development and operations; Docker and Kubernetes/EKS; MongoDB Atlas; TypeScript; Playwright or comparable end-to-end testing.
- Google Analytics and Looker Studio; Twilio, WhatsApp Business Platform, or Amazon Connect; AWS End User Messaging and SES.
- DNS automation and customer-owned domain management; multi-tenant SaaS platforms; mobile WebViews; Cursor or similar AI development environments; AI coding agents and agentic workflows.
