- The role is based in Calgary, Alberta, or remote within Canada.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and ship production AI services, agentic workflows, MCP servers, machine-learning capabilities, and shared platform components.
- Shape platform direction and reusable development patterns with architecture and engineering teams.
- Build secure, scalable software across distributed systems, APIs, cloud-native services, and intelligent workflows.
- Own capabilities from proof of concept through production, including evaluation, monitoring, iteration, reliability, and operational support.
- Conduct technical design and code reviews, mentor developers, and evaluate emerging AI technologies.
- Use modern AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot.
Required experience
- 8+ years of professional software development experience building scalable SaaS applications.
- 3+ years designing and deploying production AI applications, platforms, or intelligent workflow systems.
- Strong backend engineering experience, ideally with Python or similar technologies.
- Experience with agentic AI systems, MCP servers or similar integration frameworks, machine learning solutions, and LLM-based applications.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, cloud-native architectures, and modern software development practices.
- Track record of high-quality production code and ownership of complex production systems.
Bonus experience
- Bonus: LangGraph, Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar production AI platforms.
- Bonus: RAG, vector databases, semantic search, evaluation, observability, governance, or MLOps.
- Bonus: conversational AI, speech technologies, customer-facing AI applications, or AI in large-scale multi-tenant SaaS or regulated environments.
Compensation
