Role overview

Hands-on Technical Lead Manager responsible for establishing and leading Release Integration Testing within Release and Feature Qualification for AI Inference Core.

Defines quality strategy across feature and model integration, branch stability, release qualification, deployment, and post-release learning.

Technical leadership includes test architecture, debugging, release decisions, mentorship, and writing software and automation.

What you will do

  • Set Release Integration Testing strategy, ownership boundaries, criteria, coverage expectations, and escalation thresholds.
  • Identify risks and dependencies across inference runtime, host, device programming, memory, scheduling, model execution, infrastructure, and hardware.
  • Review unit, simulation, benchmark, feature-test, and integration evidence; document gaps and approve readiness before release entry.
  • Lead integrated inference end-to-end validation and strengthen release regression coverage.
  • Improve branch stability with metrics, failure classification, reporting, dashboards, workflows, and pipelines.
  • Lead triage, root-cause analysis, issue resolution, coverage improvements, and rollout planning.
  • Mentor and partner across engineering teams; advance automation, diagnostics, probes, and test planning.

Minimum qualifications

  • Strong software engineering and programming ability in Python, Go, or a similar language.
  • Technical leadership in software quality, test infrastructure, systems validation, release engineering, or complex integration.
  • Test automation and architecture experience for distributed, systems-level, infrastructure, or AI software.
  • Ability to investigate cross-stack failures and drive evidence-based resolution.
  • Strong understanding of risk-based testing, release readiness, regression, failure analysis, and quality metrics.
  • Ability to influence teams and communicate technical risk clearly, including under release pressure.

Preferred experience

  • Software/hardware co-design, accelerators, compilers, kernels, runtimes, or low-level systems experience is preferred.
  • AI infrastructure, model deployment, LLMs, multimodal workloads, or large-scale compute experience is preferred.
  • Test frameworks, distributed test systems, release pipelines, dashboards, developer tooling, performance testing, profiling, observability, fault injection, reliability, or production failure analysis experience is preferred.
  • Distributed-team management and experience in startup or fast-moving environments are preferred.
  • Containers, cluster orchestration, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, or high-performance computing familiarity is preferred.

Workplace

  • The role requires in-office presence at least three days per week; fully remote work is not available.
  • Office locations are Sunnyvale, California, or Toronto, Ontario.
