AI Engineering Specialist

About This Role

INTECH Process Automation is seeking an AI Engineering Specialist to utilize telecom and automation system data for developing intelligent algorithms and automation solutions that improve system performance, enable predictive maintenance, and support autonomous operations.

Key Responsibilities **Data Acquisition & Analysis**

• Collect and process real-time and historical data from telecom and automation systems (e.g. SDH/DWDM, WiMAX, ATC, CCTV, PTS, SCADA, F&G, etc.).
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and relevance for AI model development.

Algorithm Development

• Design and implement machine learning and deep learning models to detect patterns, anomalies, and failure trends.
• Develop predictive maintenance schedules based on system performance indicators and historical fault data.

Automation & Smart System Integration

• Create automation routines that optimize system operations and reduce manual interventions.
• Integrate AI models into existing infrastructure to enable smarter decision making and remote troubleshooting.

System Enhancement & Innovation

• Collaborate with instrumentation and telecom engineers to identify opportunities for AI driven enhancements.
• Support the development of autonomous operations and remote control room capabilities.
• Support and enhance the existing AI solutions.

Operational Support

• Provide technical consultation for emergency response, incident reporting, and system recovery.
• Participate in acceptance testing, calibration, and configuration of AI enabled systems.

Requirements:

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence / Data Science / Computer & Software Engineering.
• Certifications in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Engineering, or Industrial Automation Analytics will be an added advantage.

**Experience:**

• 8+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML, data analytics, or intelligent automation within oil & gas, industrial or telecom environments.
• Proven experience working with operational technology (OT) data from systems such as SCADA, telecom networks, or process control systems.
• Experience in deploying AI models in industrial environment is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in collecting and processing real-time and historical data from telecom and automation systems such as SDH/DWDM, WiMAX, CCTV, PTS, ATC,SCADA, DCS, Fire & Gas systems.
• Strong skills in data cleansing, normalization, and validation.
• Time-series data handling and feature engineering.
• Ensuring data integrity, availability, and consistency.
• Experience with industrial protocols and data sources i.e. OPC/OPC-UA, Modbus, TCP/IP, MQTT.
• Ability to identify patterns, trends, and failure signatures.
• Develop models for early fault detection and performance optimization.
• Strong hands-on experience in Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms, Time-series forecasting and anomaly detection models, Predictive maintenance and reliability analytics.
• Ability to design and implement AI driven automation routines to reduce manual intervention.
• Experience in integrating AI models into Telecom infrastructure, SCADA/DCS systems, Edge devices or industrial gateways.
• Knowledge of APIs, microservices architecture, Edge computing and real-time inference systems and Capability to enable remote diagnostics and intelligent decision support systems.

• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
