About the opportunity

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production AI systems, Python backend services, and intelligent applications.
• Develop AI agents and automated workflows with LLM integrations, tool calling, routing, and orchestration.
• Design and improve RAG and GraphRAG systems using knowledge graphs, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Build evaluation frameworks for retrieval quality, agent performance, and reliability.
• Benchmark open-source LLMs and contribute to self-hosted model infrastructure.
• Improve reliability with monitoring, observability, automated testing, and production support.
• Work with engineering and business teams to translate operational challenges into AI solutions.
• Own development from design through deployment and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience developing AI applications or in AI/software engineering roles involving production AI systems.
• Strong hands-on Python and backend development experience.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications, with exposure to RAG, agents, or tool calling.
• Understanding of REST APIs and integrating AI capabilities into existing applications.
• Familiarity with vector databases, semantic search, or retrieval-based systems.
• Comfortable collaborating with engineers, reviewing code, and contributing to production applications.
• Proactive problem-solving approach and interest in learning new AI technologies.

Preferred skills

• Beneficial experience includes GraphRAG, knowledge graphs, ontologies, LLM evaluation, retrieval metrics, and regression testing.
• Experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face, Ollama, vLLM, Qdrant, Milvus, Docker, Kubernetes, or model-serving infrastructure is beneficial; not all are required.
