What you will build and do
- Build production-grade Python pipelines and services connecting restaurant data, APIs, business systems, and databases.
- Develop LLM workflows and agents, practical web applications, integrations, and internal platforms.
- Automate reporting, restaurant onboarding, ownership transfers, and operational handoffs.
- Develop and deploy software; design SQL reporting structures; reconcile data with Finance; integrate APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and third-party platforms.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain pipelines and integrations; document dependencies, monitoring, and recovery procedures.
- Work with business teams to clarify requirements and improve processes; validate automation with dry runs.
Must-have qualifications
- 2–6 years building production software, automation, or data pipelines, using Python as the primary language.
- Strong PostgreSQL and SQL skills, including views, keys, duplicate handling, and explaining data discrepancies.
- Hands-on experience shipping an LLM API solution that people use; understanding of prompts, evaluation, failure modes, latency, and cost.
- Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, third-party integrations, Linux, cloud deployments, and Git.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills; able to clarify requirements and recommend practical solutions.
Nice to have
- Claude Code, MCP, Pydantic AI, LangGraph, Supabase, AWS, and pipeline or agent observability experience.
- Restaurant, retail, or franchise technology experience; high-volume operational or transactional data; finance reconciliation.
- JavaScript on Vercel and streaming AI responses into a user interface.
Work arrangement
- Full-time, permanent hybrid role based in the GTA, with three days per week at the Mississauga head office and regular remote work.
- Occasional restaurant visits are part of the role.
Compensation
- Base salary is CAD $95,000–$125,000, based on experience and demonstrated production AI/LLM work; the posting does not state a pay cadence.
