Role Description
The Agricultural Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-quality landscapes and irrigation systems.
Day-to-day tasks include assessing soil conditions, recommending suitable plant species, and optimizing irrigation and drainage solutions for various project types, including sports turf, golf courses, and living walls.
The role involves monitoring and managing pest control strategies, providing technical assistance to landscape and maintenance teams, and contributing to project planning to ensure efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective agricultural practices.
The Agricultural Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and field crews to maintain healthy landscapes that align with client expectations and Oasis Hills’ quality standards.
The position also requires preparing technical reports, maintaining compliance with local regulations, and supporting continuous improvement of agricultural and environmental practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Agricultural Engineering and applied agronomy, with the ability to design and optimize landscape and turf systems.
- Practical experience in Irrigation and Drainage, including system planning, installation oversight, and performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of Pest Control strategies and integrated pest management for landscape, turf, and ornamental plantings.
- Experience in Planning and Technical Assistance, supporting project teams with technical drawings, specifications, and site assessments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Familiarity with landscape and turf management in arid or semi-arid climates, preferably within the Gulf region.
- Ability to interpret technical data, prepare reports, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices.
- Proficiency with relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar for layouts, basic MS Office) is an advantage.
- Previous experience in golf course, sports turf, or high-end landscape projects is preferred.
