Agile Delivery Lead

Role overview

Delivery leadership and planning

• Own squad delivery performance and maintain a trusted view of status, plans, risks, and dependencies.
• Drive realistic, visible commitments and predictable, stable, sustainable outcomes; escalate issues early with mitigation plans.
• Maintain short-, medium-, and long-term plans; communicate priorities, timelines, capacity constraints, and dependencies.
• Coordinate engineering, business analysis, architecture, and product activities, and ensure work is represented and traceable.
• Identify delivery risks, implement mitigations, and foster accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Squad and stakeholder delivery

• Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other delivery ceremonies; remove blockers and manage dependencies.
• Improve delivery flow using metrics, retrospectives, and healthy challenge while supporting a sustainable pace.
• Build relationships with Product Owners and business stakeholders; provide concise updates, accurate forecasts, and transparent status reporting.
• Ensure stakeholders understand risks, constraints, and decisions required.
• Track squad capacity and workload, identify over-allocation and bottlenecks, and support prioritization with capacity and demand data.

Essential skills and experience

• Significant experience as an Agile Delivery Lead, Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, or similar.
• Proven delivery of technology initiatives in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Lean delivery practices; experience with Jira and delivery reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with strong planning, organization, and risk management capability.
• Ability to influence without formal authority and experience managing cross-functional technology teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable skills and experience

• Insurance or financial services experience.
• Experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Data & AI, automation, or digital platform initiatives.
• Working knowledge of release management and platform delivery models.
• Experience using delivery metrics and visual reporting tools.
