AFC Maintenance Technician

About This Role
Overview
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AFC equipment, including gates, TVMs, validators, and related devices.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, electronic, hardware, and basic software faults.
Diagnose failures and restore equipment to service efficiently.
Replace faulty modules, sub-assemblies, spare parts, and consumables.
Perform basic software checks, log reviews, device access, and service restarts.
Support LAN and IP connectivity checks for AFC devices.
Execute functional testing after maintenance and repair activities.
Handle routine faults as well as complex technical incidents.
Perform root cause analysis for recurring failures and equipment issues.
Escalate major, systemic, or unresolved failures to engineering or Level 3 support with clear technical reports.
Record incidents, actions taken, spare parts used, and components replaced in the maintenance system.
Comply with rail safety, operational, access, and site procedures at all times.
