Qualifications

  • YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering and process optimization.
  • WE VALUE
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Aerospace or Automotive industry and/or Electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Experience in the use of Lean tools
  • Experience with design and development processes
  • Basic knowledge of the field's standards and specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done.
  • The annual base salary range for this position is $81,200 to $108,200 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Responsibilities

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Define and validate production processes; specify, procure, and commission new equipment; and create clear, operator ‐ ready work instructions.
  • Partner with operations to diagnose and resolve day ‐ to ‐ day manufacturing issues, ensuring stable and efficient operations.
  • Lead structured problem ‐ solving efforts (RCCA, 5 ‐ Why, Fishbone) and drive corrective and preventive actions through full closure.
  • Engineer custom tools, jigs, and fixtures to improve repeatability, ergonomics, and throughput.
  • Lead continuous ‐ improvement initiatives focused on cycle ‐ time reduction, waste elimination, and process automation.
  • Work closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering to resolve technical challenges.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, quantify process capability (Cp/Cpk), and recommend targeted improvements.
  • Support NPI activities by translating design intent into manufacturable processes, coordinating pilot builds, and ensuring smooth ramp ‐ up to full ‐ rate production.
