Role Description
The Writer at TEDxKiroriMalCollege will be responsible for crafting clear, engaging written content for event promotions, speaker profiles, social media posts, scripts, and website pages.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bathinda, requiring close collaboration with the organizing team, including curation, marketing, and design.
Day-to-day tasks include researching topics and speakers, drafting and refining copy, aligning content with TEDx guidelines, and ensuring a consistent brand voice across all channels.
The Writer will also support the development of event narratives, taglines, and themes, and will revise content based on feedback from team members.
During event cycles, the Writer may prepare introductions, talk descriptions, post-event summaries, and other written materials that enhance the audience experience.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in writing, editing, and proofreading, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms and audiences.
- Experience in creative storytelling and scriptwriting for events, videos, or presentations.
- Ability to conduct research on speakers, topics, and current issues to produce accurate and compelling content.
- Familiarity with content creation for digital channels such as social media, newsletters, and websites.
- Excellent command of English, with clear, concise, and audience-centered communication.
- Strong collaboration skills and openness to feedback in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple deadlines, especially around event timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree (or current enrollment) in English, Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Interest in TED/TEDx content, public speaking, and ideas-driven events; prior experience in campus clubs, editorial boards, or event organizations is a plus.
