The Director role is full-time and based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a hybrid arrangement allowing some work from home.
The role leads investment promotion, export development, and competitiveness initiatives for Mato Grosso.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with investors, government agencies, and industry partners; lead market outreach and evaluate investment proposals.
- Coordinate cross-border projects and represent the agency at conferences, trade missions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Guide a multidisciplinary team, monitor performance, manage budgets, and align work with organizational goals.
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and public stakeholders; ensure regulatory and governance compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and management experience, including team oversight, complex projects, and strategic initiatives.
- Background in investment promotion, economic development, international business, or trade and export facilitation.
- Strong stakeholder, analytical, strategic, communication, presentation, and budget management capabilities.
- English communication skills are required; Portuguese or Arabic is an asset.
- International, multicultural experience and familiarity with Latin America or the Middle East are sought.
- Commitment to sustainability, inclusive growth, and ethical business practices; ability to work effectively in a hybrid, cross-time-zone setting.
Education
- A master’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field is preferred.
