Actuarial Analyst

Position summary

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and analyze actuarial reserves across multiple insurance products.
• Monitor loss experience, profitability, and key performance indicators for assigned business lines.
• Support product development, pricing reviews, and actuarial technical documentation.
• Perform reinsurance calculations and analyze treaty performance.
• Assist with profitability projections, financial audits, and statutory reserve certifications.
• Provide actuarial analysis and data-driven support to cross-functional departments.
• Participate in special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• At least two years of insurance actuarial experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and SOA/CAS exam progress.
• Strong analytical skills and experience handling insurance portfolio data and actuarial modeling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• RiskAgility FM, ResQ, R, or comparable actuarial software experience is preferred.
• Progress toward SOA or CAS credentials is sought; completed actuarial exams are preferred.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines collaboratively.
• Full bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

Compensation

• Listed salary range is USD 55,000–65,000 per year.
