Role overview

Responsibilities

• Match authorized purchase orders and delivery dockets to supplier invoices; check calculations and confirm receipt and approval before posting.
• Review invoice coding and approvals, including invoices entered by Cost Controlling, and verify each invoice represents a valid hotel obligation.
• Process invoices daily, confirm batch totals are posted, and reconcile the subsidiary accounts payable ledger to the general ledger control total.
• Reconcile supplier statements monthly and maintain accurate accounts payable ledger records.
• Prepare proposed payment schedules by the 10th and 20th working days monthly for Financial Controller approval.
• Prepare supplier payments, take available discounts and credits, present cheques with supporting documents for signatures, and maintain sequential cheque records.
• Organize paid and unpaid invoices by supplier account and perform other duties requested by the Financial Controller or management.
• Follow hotel policies and occupational health and safety rules; report hazards, risks, and accidents.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role; hospitality experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting functions.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and supervise accounts payable operations effectively.

• Candidates must be eligible to live and work in Dubai; the employer states that visa costs and flights from the candidate’s place of origin are covered for selected candidates.
