About the role
Join the team as an experienced accounts payable specialist with a marine or maritime background.
Key responsibilities
- Handle vendor invoices to shipowners for goods and services delivered to or consumed by vessels.
- Reconcile vendor statements of account with ledgers and post invoice and payment entries in MariApps.
- Arrange vendor invoice payments and request final invoices after advance payments.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reports on vessel running costs and vendor payables.
Candidate profile
- At least one year of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience in vessel running costs; oil tanker experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of running-cost structure and related expenses.
- Ability and readiness to meet shipowners’ quarterly reporting deadlines.
