The Accounts Payable Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Sharjah.
The role processes supplier invoices and ensures accurate, timely payments in line with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Verify and code supplier invoices, arrange payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain vendor records.
- Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies with internal departments and external suppliers.
- Prepare payment runs and support month-end closing activities.
- Improve accounts payable processes while adhering to internal controls and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong finance and accounting skills and a solid understanding of basic financial principles are required.
- Invoice processing experience, including verification, coding, and payment scheduling, is required.
- Account reconciliation proficiency, including vendor statements and general ledger accounts, is required.
- Good knowledge of ERP or accounting software and MS Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting is required.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, deadline management, communication, and collaboration skills are required.
- A relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; prior corporate or industrial accounts payable experience is an advantage.
